Born in Peso da Régua, in 1960. Graduated in 1960 with a Law degree from the Faculty of Lisbon of the University of Lisbon. Registered in the Portuguese Bar Association since 1990, date from which he devoted exclusively to Advocacy.
Delegate in the Fourth Ordinary Congress of the Portuguese Bar Association. Member of the board direction of the Caixa de Providência dos Advogados e Solicitadores (1993-1998). Vowel of the Deontology Council of the District Council of Lisbon in the Portuguese Bar Association (2002-2004).
